A group of adventurers exploring sewers

23rd of Brussendar 835 PD

On the 23rd of Brussendar 835 PD, the adventuring party, having successfully slain an owlbear suspected of attacking local cattle, returned to the farmer to report their victory. To ensure the menace was truly dealt with, they stayed an additional day and night. After confirming with nearby farms that no further livestock were missing, it appeared their mission was a success.

The focus then shifted when Koro brought up a new task from the questboard about clearing out the sewers beneath Rexxentrum, a proposition met with reluctance by the majority due to the anticipated foul conditions. Koro's insistence, tied to a personal motive regarding an heirloom of her family purportedly stolen by the empire at the king's behest, sparked a heated debate. The potential implications of retrieving an item from the crown created tensions within the group, leaving Serra particularly uneasy about the path ahead. Nonetheless, they decided to spend another night to deliberate further.

26th of Brussendar 835 PD

By the 26th of Brussendar, after collecting their reward of 100 gold pieces from the farmer, the group, despite initial reservations, headed back towards Rexxentrum to inquire about the sewer quest. A guard briefed them on the recent disappearances of children who ventured into the sewers, leading the party to the entrance, which was locked behind them as they delved deeper.

Guided by Koro and Whisper's dark vision, along with Rico's dancing lights, they navigated through the sewer's maze, encountering remains of not just beasts, but also humanoid figures, suggesting a more sinister presence. Amidst the decay, they discovered an abandoned cellar with barrels of spoilt wine.

The expedition took a curious turn upon sighting lights ahead, revealing what seemed to be market stalls in the depths of the sewers. This unexpected discovery hinted at the existence of an underground society or market, far removed from the eyes of Rexxentrum's above-ground inhabitants. The revelation of this clandestine community marked a significant moment in their journey, potentially unveiling a hidden aspect of the city yet to be explored.
