Guards confronting and arresting a wanted person in front of Bladegarden's gates

9th Sydenstar 835 PD

In the morning, Koro initiated a discussion about the group's next steps. With the traders they had escorted to Hupperdook still under their charge, one option was to continue escorting them to Bladegarden. Koro also proposed returning to her homeland, the Kryn Dynasty, and report her findings which might pay well, but would require crossing the dangerous border. After a brief shopping trip for supplies, the party tracked down the traders through a local clothing merchant they'd interacted with before. They finalized plans to escort the traders to Bladegarden the next day.

Early in the morning, the party gathered at the city gates to help load the traders' wagon. As they traveled, they passed a bard on a separate wagon. Koro later recognized this figure but did not act upon it. They also noticed increased military patrols on the road.

Upon reaching Bladegarden, the group was surrounded by military guards as they approached the city. The guards accused Whisper of multiple murders and robberies, displaying a wanted poster that bore a striking resemblance to her. Despite the group's protests of innocence, they were escorted to a guard post. Koro presented official documents and cited previous military contacts, providing an alibi that the guards agreed to verify. Whisper was held in a cell while the rest of the party was allowed to stay at a nearby military-frequented tavern.
