Just drink the damn tea. It's not like there's poison in it or something.

10th of Duscar, 835 PD

Over breakfast, the party considered Koro’s midnight encounter with an ancient elf who had invited her for tea while she hunted the suspected banshee. They visited the woman—Anastia—whose Savalirwood druid-grove tea and offer of herbs to “see across the veil” suggested a means to briefly attune their senses to better perceive the banshee. Her manner and history as one of the last to flee Molaesmyr left the group wary that her sympathies might lean toward the haunt rather than its victims. They parted courteously but cautious; outside, Marcus confirmed with a detection spell that only the door bore a ward, implying Anastia’s quiet competence without revealing further enchantments. Acting on one concrete lead she provided, the party called on an ancestor of a name from their watch-list; finding nothing amiss, they arranged to keep vigil over the home that night. Seeking a way to spot an approaching spirit before it struck, Marcus proposed consulting a local temple for methods to detect an undead presence early, so their “sight” draught could be used at the critical moment. En route, Zefran reported contact with a Cobalt Soul agent; from that parley the group learned the killings have coincided with upflares of Ruidus.
