Sticks on a boat

6th of Cuersaar, 835 PD

The party navigated their way through the difficult terrain of Brokenveil Marsh, hoping to reconnect with scattered Dynasty troops. Eventually, they encountered a vanguard scout who led them to a makeshift encampment sheltering roughly 500 stranded soldiers. The soldiers were attempting to fortify their position, awaiting rescue after their recent eviction.

Koro, with one remaining spell of Sending, coordinated with the commanding officer and contacted the leadership in Jigow, urgently requesting reinforcements. During the wait, Koro used her magic to conjure fresh water, while Bibi purified swamp water, making it safer to boil for drinking. Whisper assisted soldiers in collecting firewood, essential to ward off creatures lurking in the darkness of the marsh. Reeves, however, distanced himself from direct involvement, instead carefully guarding the group's limited rations in case of emergencies.

Relief arrived as Dynasty reinforcements reached the stranded soldiers. With their task complete and urgent matters awaiting elsewhere, the party quickly departed ahead of the reinforcements, returning to Jigow.

After reaching Jigow and spending several idle days preparing for their next voyage, the party finally boarded a Dynasty ship bound for the northern front. There, they witnessed Essek being escorted aboard as special cargo, under close watch by heavily armored Dynasty guards. The party embarked, sailing into uncertain waters alongside a prisoner whose presence raised new concerns.
