A battle with demonic enemies

24th of Fessuran, 835 PD

The adventuring party continued exploring the depths behind an illusionary wall, uncovering a hidden chamber filled with arcane altars and summoning circles. Essek began deciphering the magic, quickly revealing its sinister purpose—blood rituals designed to summon devils and demons from the Nine Hells.

Impatience got the better of Whisper, who impulsively disrupted one of the ritual circles, causing a magical surge that ignited a nearby portal. Flames erupted from within, and a devil stepped through, commanding the intruders to leave immediately. Without hesitation, Koro engaged in combat. The ensuing battle escalated further as the portal unleashed additional flames, severely burning Whisper and Bibi, and releasing another formidable demon resembling a massive, insectoid creature.

Emerging victorious but wounded, the adventurers investigated the remaining room, discovering a cache of valuables. They selected two portable treasures to return to the displaced giants as potential bargaining chips for their future.

The session took an unexpected turn upon returning to Rosohna, where Koro confronted Essek for secretly taking an unknown artifact from the ritual circle. Koro seized Essek, prompting a tense standoff, with confused guards unsure of whose orders to follow, given both Koro's and Essek's council statuses. Ultimately, Koana, the Queen's consort, intervened, siding with Koro's suspicions and sternly cautioning Essek about future duplicity, yet allowing everyone to leave without further incident.
