Contra[ct]

Imbeciles! Never make trade or make deals with unvicilised folk. We gave them warnings of a nearby threat, and they responded with contempt and distrust. And only the next day they suddenly want our help and are willing to pay us. I say pay but, they would've wanted us to do it for free, risk our lifes for people we don't know or care about. Savages, all of them. They even sent along one of their own to watch over us. What am I even doing here, I should've returned home a long time ago. But running empty all the way back to Waterdeep is not an option, and this "work" also pays, even if I'm putting my life on the line.

My music, my magic, also seems to be improving. I still don't know where these powers come from. I mean, I heard of powerful bards who weave magic into their songs, but I alway thought them to be wizards who know how to play instruments. Maybe I should visit a magic school when the opportunity arises, find out where my powers come from and maybe even hone them.

But back to the matter at hand. After discussing the "cultist situation" we headed east towards their camp, which was situat in some sort of ravine. We met some resistance along the way, goblinkind of all sorts, but we dispatched them easy enough. After scouting the camp, we settled on a direct approach; we killed and replaced the gate guard, waiting for an opportunity to rid us of another patrol or two before going in further.
