On the road again
"We've been on the road for almost three tendays now. After the wizard gave us nothing more of interest, our ragged group (with some convincing) started to move in the direction of Hillsfar; not only to deliver my cargo, but also to get "relief goods" for the supposedly besieged town. I still doubt there's anything worthwhile going on up there, but I might as well try to get a good trade on my way back to Waterdeep. The road to Hillsfar was relatively smooth, just a single encounter with a couple of Kobolds. Our time in Hillsfar itself was... weird. The dwarf had me barter some of his loot and try to get him a new set of armour. The exchange was, well, less then optimal, with my beeing rusty and the dwarf not knowing what he actually wanted. It even came down to me using my... other... charms. To no effect. At least I can use them out here, without every other noble gawking and inviting me to dinner. I hate nobility, the only good thing is their deep wallets. I also believe the others are getting suspicious of my appearance, especially after the business with the smiths. I need to be more carefull, especially around baths, but I just couldn't resist a good soak and a special massage. Not after a month on the road.
But I digress. After stocking up and resting in a proper bed, we set out for the mysterious village. On the road we met a few guard patrols heading from and to that direction, who at least confirmed that something is going on there. We also got ambushed by a group of Kobolds lead by a couple of Humans. The bastards almost got Gusthaf, but we dispatched them easily enough. I'm still not sure what to make of all of this, but I guess we'll soon know more."
