A battle with a giant mosquito

24th Fessuran, 835 PD

The party successfully defeated a possessed giant corpse, only to witness the grotesque tentacle growth detach and infect another nearby corpse. As they engaged in a fierce battle with the second possessed giant, an unsettling buzzing noise grew louder, soon revealing its source—a massive, mosquito-like creature that emitted a disturbingly loud and dazing hum. Despite the challenge and considerable spellcasting from Essek, their mage companion, the group managed to defeat both the giant and the insectoid creature.

Cautiously avoiding corridors lined with more giant corpses, the party delved deeper into the stronghold. They discovered a staircase leading downward into hallways lined with private quarters. The path seemed to end abruptly at another staircase descending directly into a wall. Suspicious, Koro insisted that something was amiss. Upon closer examination, Essek confirmed the presence of an illusionary wall and stepped confidently through it, revealing the hidden passageway beyond.
