New cave, who dis?

19th-22nd of Quen’pillar, 835 PD

Leaving Rosohna at first light, the party began the long ride north along the Emerald Loop. During their overnight stop they spotted an enormous, slowly roaming tortoise-like construct‐beast with a ramshackle house on its shell, currently parked and tended by a band of goblins. Apart from curious stares, no contact was made.

Continuing north, the group paused at a popular roadside hot-spring to bathe. Crimson smears leading from the changing rooms to the segregated pools cut the respite short. Following the trail they discovered the badly-wounded proprietor. The family’s private quarters were shredded by large claws.

After stabilising the owner and collecting a nearby villager for context, they learned that his wife had vanished before or during the attack. Whisper picked up a set of heavy, bestial tracks—fresh, taloned, and running upstream toward the mountains from which the spring water emerged.

The trail led to a small cave mouth fed by the same hot stream. Inside, the first chamber proved to be a kobold sentry post. The party launched a swift assault, eliminating the guards before an alarm could be raised.
