Trekking up a mountain

21st Fessuran, 835 PD

Upon returning to Rosohna, Koro heads straight to the royal palace to report. With the Queen unavailable, they instead meet her consort. As expected, due to the looming war with the Dwendalian Empire, there are no troops available to investigate the mountains. Koro suggests consulting the mages for a possible scouting operation, leading the party to Den Thelyss, where they successfully recruit a mage for the task.

Reeves insists on resting for at least a day after Bibi's near-death experience the night before. Fortunately, the mage also requires time to prepare, forcing Koro to reluctantly agree to the delay.

22nd Fessuran, 835 PD

The party returns to the giants to inquire about a path up the mountains and what they should expect. The giants reveal a hidden pass, leading to a valley that is a five-day journey away—their ancestral home.

Back in Rosohna, the party stocks up on supplies, hoping their return trip will be shortened by the use of a portal. Their mage companion is already prepared to depart, cutting their rest short.

Setting off towards the mountains, they begin the search for a path upwards. With no clear trail presenting itself, they climb where they can, taking considerable time before stumbling upon what resembles a pathway into the peaks.
