A nightmarish hallucination induced by magic crystals

1st Sydenstar 835 PD

Upon discovering a crack in the mine wall, likely caused by the explosion, the group speculated that this opening might be the goblins' entry point. Beyond the crack, they found a peculiar chamber containing shrines, tables, or possibly sarcophagi, but any other exits had collapsed due to the tremors. Finding nothing of immediate value, the group pressed on, venturing deeper into the mine.

They soon entered a cavern filled with strange, enchanting crystals. These crystals seemed to exert a magical influence, compelling Whisper to attack Koro. Unable to discern more about these mysterious crystals, they continued their exploration but found nothing further of interest within the mine.

Deciding to report their findings, the party exited the mine and informed the guards about the goblin threat. They were swiftly escorted to the garrison, where they delivered a detailed report to the magistrate. The magistrate requested their discretion regarding the mine's contents, rewarding their silence with an additional sum of gold. Additionally, Koro received a bag of the special metal silk produced in the mine.

The party then returned to the tavern for the night.

The next morning, they reconnected with the traders they had originally escorted and inquired about potential new escort jobs to Hupperdook. They negotiated a price and spent the remainder of the day preparing for the journey, set to depart the following morning.
